Dead Sea for vitiligo treatment
« on: Sunday, August 29, 2010, 20:26 »
Hello everyone!!! :)

I am Marina. My son Danny, 11 was diagnosed with vitiligo when he was 5. So, we went through all the difficult times and negative emotions as many of you. First, it was a little white patch at the liver area but in few weeks it has spreaded  around his eyes, lung area, neck, hear, knees and shoulders.  I simply cannot describe all the stress, worrying and disappointment when I asked for help and cure whilst visiting GPs  and dermatologists. Then, we turned to complimentary medicine. I was purchasing many different pills, creams/oils, we visited  homoeopathic  clinics..etc. Nevertheless, vitiligo was progressing, my son was bullied in school, we could not go to swimming pool, to go holidaying. The child was absolutely stressed that everyone stare at him. I desperately searched in the Internet for some solution. Two years ago I fount information about curative features of the Dead Sea, especially beneficial for people with skin problems. I few weeks after deep research we found ourself in a plane to Amman(capital city of Jordan). Two unforgettable weeks on the lowest point on earth, peculiar, not harmful sun radiation and climatic conditions, enriched oxygen atmosphere, mineral-rich salt sea, thermomineral springs and mineral-rich mud made their magic work for Danny. Straight away after returning to the UK I've noticed  many "sunspots" on his white patches, the pigment was coming back!!! I was so happy that immediately booked our next trip to Dead Sea. So, 6 month later we were floating again on salty Dead Sea waters, relaxing and rejuvenating, and hoping for further progress. We combined our therapy treatments with sightseeing of Jordan, visited many Biblical places(for example - Baptism Site, where Jesus was baptised). Jordan is a peaceful country, and people there are friendly and hospitable. We have made many friends there, so it was much easier to organise further health trips for my son. During last two years we made 4 trips(twice a year), and every time I notice that more and more patches are "closing"/ Vitiligo stopped spreading and re -pigmentation has started. I know, it is a quite slow proses but I do believe - we will get rid of it!!! Me, myself is simply in love with this place, because I do benefit from it as well(lost weight, improved my skin condition thanks to Dead Sea mud). Dead Sea for my family and me is a living miracle, a place to rejuvenate body and soul. I've seen many people there, coming from all parts of the world. They have problems with skin, heart, joints, asthma etc. And they do get amazing results!!! Watching all these people on the Dead Sea shores, and improving   my son's skin condition -  I come up with the idea to promote this health destination, to inform people, to show them real positive results. I am so exited about it and such a strong believer that I even left my job at Marriott  and starting up now as a tour organiser to Dead Sea, Jordan. This will give me opportunity to get Danny more often for treatment, to run away from "lovely English weather" :)  and to share our great experience with other people.  I am not a doctor and cannot operate with all the specific medical vocabulary, to pursued people, I am just a mother who found a way out from this "vitiligo nightmare" for my son. I do not believe to doctors , who tell me that it just cosmetic effect. IT IS NOT!!! It's indicates that something wrong inside a body. I've read a lot about causes of vitiligo, and I am sure - you did as well. Also, there are no point for my to copy here all the therapeutic features of the Dead Sea(it is easy to find all the info in the Internet).  I am here just to tell about my Danny's story and to give people  a hope, based on our own experience.  If anyone would be interested in more information and facts about this unique place - WELCOME  to my FB open page - Marina Deadsea.
I am planning our next visit to Jordan for October 2010. Together with my supporters in Jordan we created a great tour itinerary, which is a harmonic combination of relaxation and sightseeing. So, Danny and me are inviting everybody willing to share great experience and all the positive emotions :) .

Thank you for your interest.:)
Well, it is very individual matter. I do not claim, that it is the only method of treating these white patches. I only share our great experience, which is still working for my son. Maybe, because, he is young, and his body reacts differently.... so- we have these positive results. I've been always looking for natural ways of treatment, and try to avoid orthodox medical treatment, when it is possible.  As the matter of fact, this year we decided to spend even more time on Dead Sea shores, as we hope for full re-pigmentation.
I just want to persuade other people: try this way of treatment(who knows - maybe it will work for you), there is no harm in it, only - great health benefit!

DEAR Marina

Hello Marina
I am mayuko from japan, have segmental vitiligo on one side of my face.

I think your story is true.
in japan, famous dermatologist prescribed dead sea water spray.

In hospital, I put dead sea spray on my vitiligo,
After 15 minutes later, doctor uses UNB.
This method (Dead sea water + Light treatment) is very important.

I put on my face everyday and vitiligo is shrinking now.

I wish this treatment will be more general.

Hello !!!:)))

I am continuing to inform about progress of the repigmentation. My son spent 1 month(August) at Dead Sea. We followed doctor's advice that it is the best if vitiligo patient must stay at Dead Sea region(under that unique sunshine) 28 days . So - we spent 1 month and... straight  away I've noticed new signs of repigmentation!!! Many -many little sunspots !!!  Thanks God, we found this kind of climate-therapy  and - it is really works for my son! Really - amazing experience!!
If anyone interested, please contact me(ds.marina@ymail.com)  as I know, how it is struggling and annoying: to live with vitiligo ... Now, I am 100% sure that Dead Sea is one of the best ways for getting rid of it. And - it is pure gift of nature!!
